KETV Chooses Devlin Design Group For Burlington Station Project

Wednesday January 14, 2015

Omaha ABC affiliate KETV announced that they have selected Devlin Design Group to design and create the news set for their new television station to be located in the historic Burlington Station.

KETV announced their purchase of the iconic train station over a year ago.  They will relocate their entire television operation there later this year. From the beginning, KETV wanted a set design firm that would provide a stunning visual presentation that included state-of-the-art digital storytelling technology, increased production values, and incorporation of visual references to the historical nature of the building.

“KETVs move to Burlington Station is a bold commitment to our viewers, the community, and to downtown Omaha.  The on-air centerpiece of our new television station will be designed by Devlin Design Group.  Team DDGs attention to detail, collaborative expertise and the versatility of their stunning design made our decision clear.  From the first visit on site the team demonstrated a cohesive passion to deliver on our all our goals and we had several. First, to create a beautiful, state of the art set that enhances the viewersexperience and the way we tell Omahas stories. Equally important was to incorporate a nod to the Burlington Train Station, honoring its historical impact on Omaha.”—Ariel Roblin, President/General Manager, KETV

Team DDG is excited to apply its extensive scenic design expertise to a project like this one that blends new technology with historic architecture.

“When we were first contacted about the Burlington Station project, I was confident that DDG had the right team for this historic event.  We met with KETV, toured this grand old building, and we dug deep into what they were looking to accomplish.  We came back to them with a design that really nailed the spirit of the station and the project.  We understand how important this project is to KETV and the community it serves.  Team DDG is glad to do our part in restoring this timeless Omaha treasure.”Dan Devlin, Chief Creative Strategist, Devlin Design Group
