After weeks of hard work and rehearsals, and with much anticipation, WKEF launched their new HD news set last night to great reviews. According to News Director, Wes Finley, their debut went off very well!

A little about the set:
The set is composed of large scenic walls with graphics on acrylic that are lit from behind with color-changing LED’s. A contemporary wave design interspersed throughout adds a touch of sophistication to the overall look. The set is fresh and modern with a nice mix of polished acrylics, refined cherry woods and a touch of brushed metallic thrown in.
Technology is incorporated into the set with a large 2×4 video wall in the multi-purpose area, a 1×4 strip of monitors in the Weather Center and with a rear projection screen is also added to the mix, they now have multiple venues to present breaking news, weather, sports and for station branding with logos and other graphics.
