After a nation-wide search, Marquee Sports Network chose Devlin Design Group’s dynamic and interactive set design for their launch of the Chicago Cubs’ new TV network.
The collaboration between Marquee Sports Network and DDG resulted in a scenic design driven by a brand-new perspective when considering the current aesthetic of sports design. Technological innovation was key in creating new ways to take advantage of limitless functionality, interactivity and most important, fan engagement.
“We needed to look at the heritage of the Cubs franchise with a fresh eye” said Kartik Dakshinamorthy, VP Scenic Design, Devlin Design Group. “With our sights on the future, designing a way to present in-depth content, we drew inspiration from the energy of the Cubs loyal fan base and the legacy of Chicago’s Wrigley Field, including its iconic red marquee over the main entrance.”
